The Snow-torious BIG

It actually snowed.  On February 12, 2009, the Lowcountry became the Snowcountry.

I have proof.

The snow was falling pretty hard by 10pm.

Trying to catch snowflakes.

One of these things is not like the other.... palmetto trees and snow.  Weird.

Cute.  Nuff said.

Oscar.... he was half way through the courtyard before he realized it was snow and not rain.

And the snow STAYED which is the biggest surprise.  It's gone now, but there was a fair amount of snow on the ground this morning.

Chez Lowther.

Josh and Stockton.

Stockton LOVES the snow.

Let me go play!

My sad attempt at a snow angel.

For Beaufort, SC, my snow angel was fairly successful.

Pretty.

This is behind my house.  I hate to be repetitive, but in Beaufort.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep...

I think he wanted me to let go... he smelled a deer.  We saw the tracks shortly after this pic.

Where's that deer??

Dane-ger Dane-ger!

The Lowther Girls.

Stopping by the woods on a snowy morning....

Snow Man.

Walking Through Open Doors

Sometimes the universe really does open up a door.

You just have to learn to walk through it.

I have for years had a tendency to beat upon closed doors.  In making things harder for myself, I often overlooked opportunity and the obvious.  In the last couple of years, many changes have occurred in my life, most of them overwhelmingly positive.  First and foremost, I have been lucky enough to receive the gift of yoga in my life.   Nothing could have prepared me for the fundamental change that has taken place in my life since I rediscovered yoga.  Yoga is my open door.

With that in mind, I welcome all of my friends to follow my new exploits as a yogini in training, always learning, often teaching, always hoping to bring yoga to others.  In a few weeks, I will open Dancing Dogs Yoga in Beaufort.  Please follow our journey on my new blog:  Dancing Dogs Yoga Blog

Light and Love,

Shelley
